TOKYO, September 30, 2024 - Kirin Single Grain Japanese Whiskey Fuji 50th Anniversary Edition, produced by FUJI-GOTEMBA DISTILLERY won the "Trophy," the highest award in the Japanese whisky category, at the International Spirits Challenge (ISC) 2024.

The ISC is an annual liquor competition organized by Drinks International, a British publisher specializing in alcoholic beverages. In addition to the whisky category, there are also categories for brandy, tequila, gin, vodka, etc. Trophies, double gold, gold, silver, bronze, etc. are selected from each category. In the whisky category, the judging panel consists of blenders and distillers from whisky distilleries around the world, and the awards are judged through blind tastings, and are considered to be very prestigious. This year, approximate 2,200 products were entered from all over the world.

Kirin Single Grain Japanese Whiskey Fuji 50th Anniversary Edition was released in June this year in a limited edition of 6,000 bottles worldwide to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the FUJI-GOTEMBA DISTILLERY. The whiskey has been crafted with the expertise, dedication, and passion that the Fuji Gotemba Distillery has refined over the course of its 50-year journey.

This special single grain whiskey embodies 50 years of craftsmanship and dedication from the FUJI-GOTEMBA DISTILLERY, showcasing the passion and meticulousness of its makers.
All three types of grain whiskies (Bourbon, Canadian, and Scotch) are used, starting with three exceedingly rare whiskies distilled in the 1970s. These are then blended with subsequent whiskies from the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s to create a special limited edition Single Grain whiskey with a beautiful taste profile.
This exceptional 50th-anniversary Single Grain Whiskey from FUJI-GOTEMBA DISTILLERY offers a harmonious combination of vibrant fruity flavors, rich and smooth textures, and a light and refreshing finish, showcasing the exquisite harmony of the distillery's unique and vibrant fruity whiskies, as well as the rich and smooth whiskies.
