Barrier-free route to Kirin Group Head Office
Barrier-free route for visually impaired persons and wheelchair users.
We recommend that visitors coming to our head office from Nakano Station on the JR Chuo Line, JR Sobu Line, or Tokyo Metro Tozai Line take the following route.
Destination Route

Exit through the North Exit ticket gate of JR Nakano Station.
Note: Please do not confuse it with the South Exit ticket gate, which has downward stairs in front of the ticket gate on the inside of the station.

Take the escalator or elevator on the left side to go up
With your back to the North Exit ticket gate, walk about 10 meters along the GO Braille blocks, and you will find two escalators on your left.
Take the escalator on the left and go up. -

Exit the escalator or elevator and proceed to the end.
After exiting the escalator, you will find a junction between left-, right-, and straight-direction Braille blocks.
Follow the straight-direction GO Braille blocks for approximately 30 meters until you reach the end. -

Turn right
Proceed to the last STOP Braille block and you will find GO Braille blocks leading to the right, turn right and go approximately 30 meters.
Be careful to avoid contact with oncoming pedestrians. -

Turn left but do not go down the stairs.
After the second STOP Braille block, you will find GO Braille blocks leading to the left, so follow them and go about 30 meters to the left.
Please note that the GO Braille blocks in front of you lead to a staircase – do not use the staircase.For wheelchair users,
please note that the path has a slight downward slope. Proceed with caution. -

Go straight ahead until you reach a signaled crosswalk.
Continue to the first STOP Braille block, and you will find short GO Braille blocks leading to the right along the road. Follow them, and after that, you will find a junction with GO Braille blocks leading to the left and right.
Turn left for about 50 meters. -

Cross the crosswalk and turn right.
You will cross a two-lane road, with an audio-signaled crosswalk in front of you.
The roadway at this intersection is a T-junction and there is no direct automobile traffic.
Beyond the pedestrian crossing, a narrow pedestrian-only road without Braille blocks continues.
This pedestrian-only road is heavily trafficked, especially during commuting hours, so please be careful to avoid contact with pedestrians.

Go straight until the next crosswalk.
After crossing the pedestrian crossing, there will be a guide block leading to the right. Continue for approximately 50 meters, keeping the Nakano Tax Office on your left.

Cross the signal-less crosswalk.
There will be a small crosswalk in front of you, so cross the two-lane road.
Be aware that there is no traffic signal, and the road is a T-junction between the roadway from the left and the roadway going straight ahead, so please be careful of passing cars.
Braille blocks are laid out in the center of the crosswalk. -

Cross the crosswalk and turn left to the front of the Kirin Group headquarters.
After crossing the crosswalk, there will be GO Braille blocks going to the left, continue for approximately 30 meters.

Arrive in front of Kirin Group Headquarters
Follow the road to the left for approximately 10 meters, and you will find the Nakano Central Park South building, which houses the Kirin Group headquarters, on your right.
There are no Braille blocks at the building entrance, so please be careful when walking.

Exiting from the front of the Kirin Group headquarters (Nakano Central Park South building), turn left.
With your back to the main entrance of Nakano Central Park South, go straight for about 15 meters and you will find yellow GO Braille blocks on the sidewalk leading left and right.

In front of Nakano Central Park East Building, turn right.
Follow the GO Braille blocks found in ⑫, block to the left, and after about 15 meters, you will find a junction in the GO Braille blocks that lead to your right.

Cross a crosswalk.
Going right after that junction for about 30 meters, you will find a small crosswalk on your right. You will cross a two-lane road on the other side.
There is no traffic signal, and the road is a T-junction between the roadway from the right and the roadway going straight ahead, so please be very careful of passing cars.
Braille blocks are laid out in the center of the crosswalk. -

Go straight until you reach a crosswalk with a traffic signal (the second one).
After the crosswalk, there will be yellow GO Braille blocks going straight, follow them for about 50m.

Cross a crosswalk
Proceed to the last STOP Braille block and you will find a crosswalk to the left, so cross the two-lane road.
This crosswalk is equipped with an audio signal and Braille blocks are also laid out in the center of the crosswalk. -

Cross a crosswalk and go straight.
After crossing the crosswalk, there are GO Braille blocks going straight, so follow them for about 100m to the next intersection.

Please note that there is a downhill slope and an uphill slope after crossing the crosswalk.
If the uphill slope is not too much for you, you can use that route to the destination (same as “From JR Nakano Station” but in reverse). Otherwise, use the downward slope on the right. -

Cross a crosswalk and turn right.
Proceed to the STOP Braille blocks in front of the intersection, where you will find a crosswalk going straight ahead, crossing a four-lane road.
This crosswalk is equipped with an audio signal, and Braille blocks are laid out in the center of the crosswalk.
A push button to trigger the crossing for the visually impaired is also installed on the pole on the right. -

Follow the road, veering to the left
After crossing the crosswalk, you will find GO Braille blocks leading left and right. Go about 30 meters to the right, then the follow the Braille blocks veering 30 meters to the left. Be careful to avoid contact with oncoming pedestrians.

Cross a signal-less crosswalk located in front of the station
There is a crosswalk to your right and you will cross a two-lane road.
Braille blocks are placed in the center of the crosswalk, but there is no traffic signal; so please be wary of passing cars.
There is a shopping street nearby, so you may find a large number of pedestrians in this area. -

Arrive in front of the JR Nakano Station North Entrance ticket gate.
After crossing the crosswalk, you will find GO Braille blocks going straight. Continue for about 20 meters and you will arrive at the North Exit of JR Nakano Station.
The ticket gates will be in front of you, and the far right ticket gate is a manned ticket gate.
